Gri su geri kazanımı evsel atık suyun en az kirli olan kısmının yani duştan, lavabodan, küvetten gelen suyun tekrar kullanılmak üzere arıtılmasıdır. Bazı özel durumlarda çamaşır makinası atılan su da gri su kapsamına dahil edilecek geri kazanımı sağlanabilir. Gri su, evsek atık suları içinde en büyük orana sahiptir. Genellikle evsel atık sularının %50-70’i gri sudur.
